Although not an authoritive guide to what will replace the NTTA, but I have heard from some VE's that the aTa route is a good possibility, also that the trainers as far as I understand are going to be doing on the job training, i.e. they spend time with the NT's in the VTS where the NT's work doing the tests?

Better get up to speed with the Manual(s), Guides and Special Notices then:D

All we can be sure of is that with the renewal of the MOT computer contract in 2015, MOT Training will radically change.

No-one in authority seems to know, or want to talk about, what is going to replace the NTTA, or when the change will be introduced.

We are currently trying to get some guidance, and will report in the May issue of MOT Testing Magazine.
