it's very difficult to find a sponsorship i am struggling alot phone couple of companies which are sponsoring and they told me it will cost 750 pounds and i can't explain you how much i start laughing,it's like you are picking the money from a tree or dig them out of a garden.
DVSA need to think about some other type becoming a mot tester.

Google Premier MOT, they offer a training package and sponsorship for experienced techies who want to be testers and have no sponsor

when on my training course and talking to the trainer, he told us that any status he gained whilst employed by VOSA was lost should he ever leave. He wouldnhave to start over again in "civvy street"

Welcome to the form.
I think that the best thing you can do is to get some formal training, as you need to get sponsorship from a testing station to receive vosa training before you can start testing.
Good luck
