It dosent matter about emmisions 1st or last or wich end you jack up 1st. If you get caught using a card issued to somone else you will have a very short time testing, so either use the spare or your own NEVER USE THE BOSS S CARD.

thanks very much.
feeling rather nervous about it all but do feel very confident at same time.
ive downloaded the manual a few weeks ago and have really been studying.have also been using the computor with my boss
{qc},for the last few months so totally understand that side of it.
it is funny mind that different garages do things different, for one example the last garage i worked in would jack rear of car up first whilst my current garage and tester jacks front up first.also do you do emmissions first or last? im sure my ve will put certain little doubts i have right.
many thanks again for you help,im sure i will be asking questions in future.

hi npl84, welcome to the forum.

everything Kit said, just like to add I think you have about one month from the end of NT training to do your demo test and if you have not got your own smart card by now you need to get that sorted as well. good luck.  :)

After successful completion of the NT training you need to get a testing routine & practice, practice, practice. When you feel that you are ready ask for the local VE to come round to asses you, who will ask you to a demo test & may well do a quick q & a with you.If all goes well you are then authorised to test, then the real learning starts!!
Have you done any vts device training, if not start on mon you MUST use the SPARE card at your vts, get a tester to show you how.
Good luck & let us know how it goes ;)

Welcome to the forum.
What happens next is down to what you put on your form about your qualifications, what grades you have got, or if you need to sit the dreaded NTTA exam.
Which form have you filled in by the way? VOSA has many many forms :D
