If so, have I any hope of getting a 3.2 VR6 to pass?

According to the In Service Emissions Data book the 3.2 VR6 emissions remain unchanged from 2003 onwards.

You can check out the limits for your choice of engine in the above book, which is available online.

Thanks for the reply Stealth.
Thanks for the info -I had previously found that.  However, I'm still confused.

Does that mean the 2010 van would be tested to Euro 5?

If so, have I any hope of getting a 3.2 VR6 to pass?

Hi fran9r & welcome to the forum.

Below is an extract from the MOT Manual, which may be useful...

If a vehicle first used on or after 1 September 2002 is fitted with a different engine, you must test it to the emissions standards for the age of the vehicle.

If an engine has been modified in any way, it still must meet the exhaust emission requirements according to the age of the vehicle.

Hi Everyone, I wonder if you can assist?
I want to take a 2010 on Caddy Maxi, and put a 2003 Audi A3 3.2 engine in it.
And put a turbo on it.
And the 4wd system.

Ambitious I know, but I'm confused by the emission test I will need to pass.  Can anyone advise of this?

Not trying to cut corners, just need to know what I'm up against test wise please.

Similar to the above, can a 2.8 VR6 be made to pass the same limits?
