Hi welcome to the forum,
Electrical wiring : braking components Extremely deteriorated
& Electrical wiring : connectors for braking Disconnected..both are RfR 4.11 b iii which is a dangerous fail

There may be testers that dont apply the standard when the pads are good as the sensor wire switches the lamp on by earthing so its hard to figure how if severed it results in the motor being dangerous:shock:

I wouldnt be using 4.11 to fail a broken pad wear indicator wire when the warning lamp is just a minor ?

The pad warning light is no longer testable, suggest replacing sensor wire or reconnect & insulate it..There may be testers that dont apply the standard when the pads are good as the sensor wire switches the lamp on by earthing so its hard to figure how if severed it results in the motor being dangerous:shock:

Severed cable to sensor causing dash warning. All pads are new. Will this be a MOT failure?
